Behind the chair - Tasos
Tasos was born into the hair industry as both his mother and older brother were hairdressers in his native Greece, and taught him to cut hair as a child. He relocated to London four years ago where he worked at a salon in the West End before making the move to Ruffians a couple of years back.
What made you get into barbering, and how did you end up at Ruffians?
I studied accountancy back in Greece, however after a while I realised I had no passion for it. I am from a hairdressing background with my mother and brother both hairdressers, so moving into barbering was a really easy decision. Since moving to London 5 years ago, I had always heard great things about Ruffians so really wanted to join such a successful company, and here we are.
What’s your favourite thing about Ruffians Marylebone?

And what’s your best bit of Marylebone?
What I really like about the area is the so many options for lunch-dinner haha. No seriously, so many.
What do you get up to outside of work?
I love watching football and supporting my club. Chilling and playing video games. And of course cooking.
What’s your biggest achievement in hair?
My biggest achievement, I think, is that I make people happy every day.
What’s your favourite Ruffians product?
Hair cream. 10000% hair cream
