Ruffians Shoreditch - launched!!
Ruffians has opened its newest shop, only nine months after its successful Marylebone launch, in the heart of Shoreditch. Comprising award-winning men’s hairdressers, exhaustively knowledgeable grooming experts, style-savvy trend setters and hirsute hair idols, Ruffians Shoreditch is the ideal place for the modern gent to stop by for his best ever haircut.
Located in one of London’s most stylish areas, the newest barber shop of the Ruffians brand is an eye-catchingly roomy space, with eight custom designed Petroleum Blue Takara Belmont Apollo II Barber Chairs – the most luxurious barber chair on the market.
Balancing a light yellow exposed brickwork and soft oak finish floor with dark wooden surfaces and gunmetal grey furnishings, this branch highlights Ruffians’ finger on the pulse, in terms of stylistic development and design appreciation.
Built on the site of an old abattoir, the shop references both its bovine and Scottish past – an antique Highland bull’s head sits above the fireplace, while the Scandinavian-style furniture complements the original Caledonian heritage feel of the shop. With fibre optic internet installed, and plenty of seating and surface areas, Ruffians Shoreditch keeps its doors open to customers and passers-by looking for a place to work on their laptops with a coffee or a Ruffians own brewed Pale Ale.
However, the shop is not simply style over substance: custom-made oak cutting desks are sturdy and spacious, and the vintage Belfast sinks offer the option for clients to have their hair washed to the front as well as the back. With energy saving LED bulbs as well as mood enhancing filament lightbulbs, Ruffians are mixing practicality with sustainability.
With a seasonally changing menu of drinks, including craft beers and a selection of Union Roast drip-cup coffee, Ruffians are continuing to push the boundaries of customer experience, hosting events, drinks evenings, music nights and art exhibitions. Keep up to date with Ruffians events via social media or the website.
