When working in retail and hospitality, if you're a big company, you start thinking about Christmas and 'the party season' in about July... but, seeing as we are still quite small, we realised it was November and were like... OH RIGHT, better get some Christmas ideas going.
So, we thought we'd really embrace the creativity of our team and set them a little challenge....
We gave each shop a basic decorations kit, containing:
Then we left them to it....
Covent Garden went for the "Let's wrap up the cupboards as presents" which was pretty innovative. I mean... who wouldn't want a cupboard filled with Ruffians stock?!
Shoreditch opted for a very sensible, sophisticated and refined look. No trees, just holly, lights and a lovely blue and yellow bauble window display. Oh - and of course 'Santa is our Homeboy' - how could we forget.
Marylebone decided that for them, 'more is less' and adorned the shop with candy canes, crackers, the occasional bit of tinsel (uhoh). However, all was forgiven upon discovering the Ruffians-themed nativity playing out before customers. I mean, that's just resourcefulness at its best, is it not?
Edinburgh, Ruffians longest standing shop, produced an elegant and low-key blue and yellow themed Christmas. And managed to wangle a proper wreath! Bargaining at its best.
