Are you a hairdresser wanting to break into the ever-growing men’s grooming market? Want to understand how to transfer those skills you already have to becoming an expert barber? This one-day course will give you a solid overview of all the necessary skills and techniques and a taste of life in the barbershop. The Ruffians’ From Hairdresser to Barber Course covers:

• Barbering techniques and terminology
• Refining your clipper skills
• Scissor over comb and clipper over comb
• Texturising techniques
• Techniques for cutting different hair lengths
• Hairline tapering and fading
• How to cut using ‘masculine’ angles
• Sectioning patterns
• Working with different head shapes and hair growth patterns

Schedule

/ set yourself up for the day with a breakfast of delicious coffee and pastries
/ meet the Ruffians team and get an overview of the day’s training program
/ live step-by-step demo from Ruffians’ own hairdresser turned master barber, Matt Gavin
/ lunch is on us - grab a tasty fresh sandwich and a chance to chat with the trainer and trainees
/ roll your sleeves up and get started on your model’s haircut. Our educators will be on hand to provide one-on-one guidance to help you perfect your technique
/ Ruffians in-house photographer will be on hand to capture you at work and your model
/ finish the day toasting your new found skills with Ruffians’ very own pale ale
