Ruffians Shoreditch is inspired by the existing architecture of the building (an old abattoir) and contemporary design in East London.
Our East End outpost is energetic and bustling, it’s in the heart of Shoreditch on the iconic Rivington Street, bookended by two great pubs – the Barley Mow and Bricklayers Arms. With a spacious interior and trendy design, the shop vibe blurs the line between barbers, coffee bar, and community hub. It’s a welcoming and vibrant location, headed up by Richard and his award winning team. Pop in and say hello.

Richard
Richard’s route into hair was anything but conventional. He began cutting the locks of his school mate’s as a teen with no prior experience and only very basic equipment to his name. As a true perfectionist his keen eye and steely determination meant that he was well on his way to being a great barber long before his formal training even began. Fast forward some twenty years and Richard is widely regarded as one of the country’s best barbers. His work has been published in numerous magazines and seen in film, and he was nominated for British Barber of the Year in 2019.

Amo is part of our award winning Shoreditch team, arriving with a wealth of experience having worked in some of London’s most highly regarded salons before deciding to focus solely on barbering. He is competent in both classic and creative styles and is particularly good at bringing a client’s vision to life. He has a colourful and creative career history, having been part of a successful band before swapping his guitar for scissors.

Globetrotting master barber Jaymarie has recently returned to Ruffians after a hiatus in her hometown of San Diego. In fifteen years at the top of the industry her work has been seen on catwalks, fashion campaigns and the on the heads of the great and good in some of the world’s most iconic cities.

- Ruffians Shoreditch is open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM from Tuesday to Friday, and from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday. The shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
